How to prepare
- Continue aspirin; we'll advise on other blood-thinners and diabetes medication.
- Nothing to eat for 6 hours; clear fluids up to 2 hours before.
- Bring a list of medications and any prior cath / CT reports.
- Arrange a companion to drive you home — driving is not allowed for 24 hours after sedation.
- Shower the morning of the procedure; remove jewellery and nail polish on at least one hand.
